Automatic Scoring

As appears from Figure 3.5, all the results of automatic pronunciation scores for 8 non-native learners are represented along with a global threshold as well as relative thresholds. Threshold ranges of each phoneme are represented in Figure 3.5 with the thick lines. A global threshold was calculated as -27.43. The score values above both of these thresholds indicate inveterate pronunciation errors for the corresponding phonemes. On the contrary, some learners showed better scores than 20 native speakers for phonemes /m/, /n/, /r/, /ry/.
