We present a novel method of speech rhythm training to improve mora-timed speech rhythm. A loosely-defined template on the presence or absence of the voicing and a tightly-defined template on the manner of articulation are used to develop the mora rhythm of learners effectively. Standard rhythm ranges are calculated from the means and standard deviations of mora rhythms measured from the speech of native speakers. Specifically, each mora rhythm is relatively measured by the ratio of its length to the word length, not by millisecond. By means of rhythm templates, learners can acquire the same rhythm pattern words effectively.
