To exploit fully the potential of the computer for the CAPL, various state-of-the-art technologies need to be integrated and the man-machine interface has to become considerably more natural. More specifically, speech recognition and multimedia technology need to be integrated with linguistic pedagogic programs if the use of the computer in LL is to transcend its current comparatively primitive level of development[2].
